It's a real post ya'll!

Ego: the one of the three divisions of the psyche in psychoanalytic theory that serves as the organized conscious mediator between the person and reality especially by functioning both in the perception of and adaptation to reality.

Been doing a little reading about this. A little writing too.
Wanting to live my purpose in life by letting my ego i.e. my perception or worry of other's possible perception of me being less that I want it to be. Yeah, I'm a big girl and I can admit it. ;)

Feel like in my last relationship I allowed my ego and sense of determination (not quiting) allow me to stay in a situation that wasn't healthy for me. It's hard to deal with but I am growing from it. As I should. I now clearly see what it is that I will expect and will not tolerate from the next 'opportunity' that comes along.

Anyway, been reading this Wayne W. Dyer book. You should check it out, the man is a beast! lol, seriously (http://www.drwaynedyer.com/). He talks about living your life on purpose and how this can be achieved by giving your life away to others in service. Says to fall in love with what we are doing. Not expecting any benefits. That our purpose is connected to our source (spirit) which is not ego based. He says to use your talents and desires in love to help others and not let ego manifested emotions such as fear of failure or disappointing others stop you. He says to ask ourselves, How may I use my talents and desires to serve? and the universe will answer back, How may I serve you?
Mann!!! That's what I am talking about.

He also talks about how we teach others to treat us. I was like no he didn't! But he said we teach others how to treat us by the way that we treat ourselves. How we allow others to disrespect and demean us and we react by disconnecting from our Source by responding in humiliation, blame, anxiety, anger ect. This is all so true and deserves to be considered.
On it I tell ya!

But that's all for now...still have more reading to do.
Oh yeah, Dark Knight was good but I liked Wanted better....just my opinion.

Live life Through Love and On Purpose!

I've learned from experience that we do teach others how to treat us. If we allow folks to talk to us or treat us any kind of way, then that's what they'll do; however if you demand respect, whether they like you or not, they have to give it or else know that they can't be a part of your "innerworld."

In the past I've been guilty of not quitting when a certain relationship was dead as a nail. Once I realized my error and let it go and moved on, I was so much happier.
